A guided photography experience through Antigua Guatemala, combining local exploration, photography guidance, and selected portrait photography.
Private Photoshoots
Personalized photography sessions for individuals, couples, families, and other private groups. Session details, locations, and deliverables are agreed upon during the booking process.
10-Day Guatemala Photography Journey
A multi-day, small-group photography and travel experience through selected destinations in Guatemala, combining photography, cultural experiences, accommodation, transportation, and scheduled activities as specified in the individual itinerary.
Each experience is subject to its published description, confirmed inclusions, availability, and any additional booking information provided to the customer.
3. Bookings and Confirmations
Bookings may be made through our website or by contacting Terra Untold directly.
A booking is confirmed only after we have accepted the reservation and received the required payment or deposit.
Submitting an inquiry, selecting a preferred date, or requesting a photoshoot does not guarantee availability.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate contact information and any details reasonably necessary to arrange their experience.
We reserve the right to decline a booking where an experience is unavailable, essential arrangements cannot be confirmed, or participation requirements cannot be met. Any payment received for a booking we decline will be refunded.
4. Prices and Payments
Unless otherwise stated, prices are displayed in US dollars (USD).
We accept supported online card payments through Squarespace, as well as approved bank transfers and Venmo payments arranged directly with Terra Untold.
Payment instructions will be provided during the booking process. Customers should make payments only through official payment links or instructions confirmed by Terra Untold.
4.1 Antigua Photo Walk
The full booking amount is payable when making a confirmed reservation, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4.2 Private Photoshoots
Private photoshoots generally require a USD $50 deposit to secure the agreed session date.
The remaining balance, if applicable, and its payment deadline will be confirmed before the booking is finalized.
4.3 10-Day Guatemala Photography Journey
A 50% initial payment is required to secure a confirmed reservation.
The remaining 50% is due no later than 30 calendar days before the journey begins.
For bookings made fewer than 30 calendar days before departure, the full amount is payable at the time of booking.
Failure to make a required payment by the stated deadline may result in cancellation of the reservation after reasonable notice. Any refund will be determined under the applicable cancellation terms and mandatory law.
Any applicable taxes or additional charges will be disclosed before payment.
5. Cancellations, Refunds, and Rescheduling
The following rules apply unless different terms are expressly agreed in writing or applicable law requires otherwise.
5.1 Antigua Photo Walk
Customers may cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time and receive a full refund.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time are not eligible for a refund.
No-shows are not eligible for a refund.
5.2 Private Photoshoots
A USD $50 deposit is required to reserve a private photoshoot.
If a customer cancels a confirmed photoshoot, the deposit is generally non-refundable, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Customers may request a complimentary rescheduling at least 24 hours before the scheduled session, subject to availability.
The original deposit will be applied toward the rescheduled session.
Requests made less than 24 hours before the session will be considered individually and are not guaranteed.
5.3 10-Day Guatemala Photography Journey
Customers who cancel 30 calendar days or more before the scheduled departure date are eligible for a full refund of payments made to Terra Untold.
Customers who cancel fewer than 30 calendar days before departure are eligible for a refund of 75% of the amount paid to Terra Untold.
For example, if a customer has paid USD $2,000 and cancels 20 days before departure, the contractual refund would be USD $1,500, subject to applicable law.
Cancellation requests must be sent to info@terra-untold.com.
The date and time we receive the written cancellation request will be used to determine the applicable cancellation period.
5.4 Cancellations by Terra Untold
If Terra Untold cancels an experience, we will offer an alternative date or a comparable replacement experience where appropriate.
If the customer does not accept the proposed alternative, payments made to Terra Untold for the canceled experience will be refunded in full.
This provision does not limit any additional rights or remedies available under applicable law.
5.5 Refund Processing
Approved refunds will generally be returned using the original payment method where technically possible.
Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider or financial institution.
Our separate Cancellation & Refund Policy provides additional information and forms part of these Terms & Conditions.
6. Minimum Participation for the 10-Day Journey
The 10-Day Guatemala Photography Journey requires a minimum of two confirmed participants.
If the minimum number is not reached, Terra Untold may cancel the scheduled departure.
We will notify affected customers no later than 30 calendar days before the journey begins.
Customers will be offered either:
An alternative available departure date; or
A full refund of all payments made to Terra Untold for the canceled journey.
Any further rights available under applicable law remain unaffected.
7. Itineraries and Changes to Experiences
We aim to deliver each experience as described in its published itinerary or booking confirmation.
However, travel in Guatemala may be affected by weather, road conditions, volcanic activity, transportation disruptions, local restrictions, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Where necessary, we may adjust the timing, sequence, route, or individual activities of an experience to protect participants or respond to operational conditions.
We will make reasonable efforts to provide suitable alternatives and communicate significant changes as soon as practical.
Material changes or cancellations will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the relevant cancellation provisions.
8. Weather, Volcanoes, and Outdoor Activities
Guatemala's weather and natural conditions can be unpredictable, particularly in mountainous and volcanic areas.
Clear views, specific weather conditions, volcanic activity, and particular photographic opportunities cannot be guaranteed.
Certain activities, including volcano hikes, may involve physical exertion, uneven terrain, altitude, changing temperatures, and other outdoor hazards.
Participants must follow reasonable safety instructions provided by guides and activity operators.
Terra Untold may modify, postpone, or cancel an activity when conditions make it unsafe or impractical.
Where an activity cannot proceed, we will explain the available alternatives and any applicable refund or other rights.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Health, Fitness, and Personal Responsibility
Participants are responsible for assessing whether an experience is suitable for their individual abilities and circumstances.
For physically demanding activities, including volcano hikes, participants should review the activity requirements before booking and disclose any relevant accessibility or support needs so that suitability can be discussed.
Participants are responsible for bringing appropriate clothing, footwear, medication, and personal items.
We may decline or discontinue participation in a particular activity where there is a reasonable and significant safety concern, subject to applicable law.
10. Travel Documents and Insurance
Participants traveling to Guatemala are responsible for obtaining any required passports, visas, entry permissions, and other travel documentation.
For the 10-Day Guatemala Photography Journey, we strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, trip interruption, personal belongings, and relevant outdoor activities.
Travel insurance is not included unless expressly stated in the booking confirmation.
Customers should verify the scope and exclusions of their insurance coverage before departure.
11. Third-Party Services
Some experiences may involve services provided by independent third parties, including accommodation providers, transportation companies, hiking operators, and local guides.
Terra Untold coordinates these services where included in an experience.
The use of third-party providers does not remove any responsibility that Terra Untold has under its contract with the customer or applicable law.
Participants may also be required to follow reasonable safety and operational rules established by individual service providers.
12. Photography and Image Delivery
Photography services and deliverables vary depending on the experience booked.
12.1 Antigua Photo Walk
The Antigua Photo Walk includes the photography-related services and deliverables described on the product page at the time of booking.
12.2 Private Photoshoots
The number of edited photographs, session duration, delivery timeline, and any additional services will be agreed upon before the booking is confirmed.
12.3 Photography Journey
Photography instruction, photographic opportunities, and any professional photography deliverables will be provided only to the extent expressly included in the published journey description or booking confirmation.
We cannot guarantee particular photographic results, lighting conditions, weather, or access to specific locations.
Edited photographs will be delivered digitally unless otherwise agreed.
13. Use of Photographs and Copyright
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, copyright in photographs created by Terra Untold or its photographers remains with the relevant photographer or rights holder.
Customers receiving edited photographs are granted a non-exclusive license to use those delivered images for personal, non-commercial purposes, including personal social media sharing and printing.
Commercial use, resale, licensing to third parties, or substantial alteration for commercial purposes requires prior written permission from the rights holder.
Customers retain any rights they have in photographs they personally create during an experience.
Terra Untold will not use identifiable customer portraits for advertising or promotional purposes without an appropriate legal basis and, where required, the customer's consent.
14. Respectful Conduct
We expect all participants to treat fellow guests, guides, photographers, local communities, and service providers with respect.
Harassment, threatening behavior, intentional damage, or conduct that creates a serious safety risk will not be tolerated.
Where necessary, we may remove a participant from an activity to protect others, subject to applicable law.
Participants are responsible for damage they unlawfully or negligently cause, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
15. Personal Belongings
Participants are responsible for taking reasonable care of their personal belongings, including cameras, lenses, phones, travel documents, and other valuables.
We recommend appropriate insurance for expensive photography equipment.
Terra Untold is not responsible for loss or damage arising solely from circumstances outside its legal responsibility.
Nothing in this section excludes liability for our negligence, breach of contract, or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
16. Liability
Terra Untold will exercise reasonable care and skill in arranging and delivering its services.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted travel, specific photographic conditions, or outcomes dependent on factors outside our reasonable control.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses caused exclusively by a participant's own actions or by events for which we are not legally responsible.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes liability for fraud, willful misconduct, personal injury or death where such exclusion is prohibited, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
Nothing in these terms affects mandatory consumer protection rights.
17. Website Content and Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise indicated, the content of the Terra Untold website, including text, branding, photographs, and design elements, is owned by or licensed to Terra Untold or its respective rights holders.
Website content may not be reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without appropriate authorization, except as permitted by law.
18. Privacy and Personal Data
We collect and process personal information as necessary to respond to inquiries, manage bookings, process payments, deliver services, and operate our website.
Additional information about the collection and use of personal data is provided in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
19. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
If you have a concern about an experience, please contact us as soon as possible so we have an opportunity to address it.
Email: info@terra-untold.com
We aim to resolve concerns fairly and promptly.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the parties may pursue the remedies available under applicable law.
Governing law and jurisdiction: [To be confirmed following legal review of Snider Consulting's registration and the applicable laws governing services delivered in Guatemala.]
Nothing in this section limits mandatory consumer rights or legally available dispute-resolution procedures.
20. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions to reflect changes in our services, business practices, or legal requirements.
The updated version will be published on our website with a revised effective date.
Unless otherwise agreed or legally required, material changes will not retroactively alter the terms of an already confirmed booking without the customer's agreement.
