And you don't have to spend the entire journey behind your camera. Arturo will also photograph you along the way, so you'll return home with both the images you created and professional photographs of yourself experiencing the journey.

Whether you're traveling alone or with someone special, you'll have opportunities to connect with fellow travelers while exploring Guatemala with a knowledgeable local guide.

Yes! Professional travel photography is one of the highlights of our Guatemala journey. Arturo Rivera captures candid moments, portraits, and memorable experiences throughout the trip. Within three weeks after your journey, you'll receive a private online gallery of professionally edited, high-resolution photographs that you can download, print, and share.

Our guided Guatemala journey explores popular travel destinations, including Antigua, Lake Atitlán, Acatenango, and El Paredón. Traveling with local photographer Arturo Rivera provides valuable local knowledge, cultural insights, and practical guidance. As with any international trip, we recommend following local safety advice, checking current travel advisories, and purchasing comprehensive travel insurance. No destination or outdoor activity is entirely risk-free.

A deposit is required to secure your place on the 10-day Guatemala journey. Under the currently published cancellation terms, deposits are non-refundable. Cancellations made 45–60 days before departure qualify for a refund of 50% of the total trip price, while cancellations made less than 45 days before departure are non-refundable. The remaining balance must be paid at least 45 days before departure. Please review the full booking and cancellation terms before confirming your reservation.

Booking your Guatemala adventure is simple. Select your preferred departure date, choose between Explorer, Classic, or Premium accommodation, and submit your booking request. Arturo will personally confirm availability and provide the next steps, including payment instructions. With a maximum of 10 travelers per departure, we recommend requesting your preferred dates early

Our 10-day Guatemala journey includes nine nights of accommodation, transportation between destinations, guided experiences, an overnight Acatenango Volcano hike, boat transfers at Lake Atitlán, a surf lesson in El Paredón, a mangrove boat tour, selected meals, and professional photography throughout your adventure. You'll also receive a private gallery of professionally edited photos. International flights, travel insurance, and personal expenses are not included.

Not at all! Our Guatemala photography journey is designed for travelers of all backgrounds, not just photographers. Professional photographer and local guide Arturo Rivera will capture your experiences as you explore Guatemala. No photography skills or camera equipment are required. Simply enjoy the adventure while Arturo documents your memories.

Our 10-day Guatemala itinerary takes you through four incredible destinations: colonial Antigua Guatemala, Acatenango Volcano with views of the active Fuego Volcano, Lake Atitlán and its traditional Mayan villages, and El Paredón on Guatemala's Pacific coast. Along the way, you'll experience local culture, volcanic landscapes, colorful markets, outdoor adventures, and unforgettable sunsets.

Our Guatemala small-group journey offers three accommodation options: Explorer ($2,200 per person) with shared hostel dorms, Classic ($3,500 per person) with shared double rooms in boutique hotels, and Premium ($4,800 per person) with private upgraded accommodation. All three options include the core itinerary, activities, transportation, and professional photography. The main differences are accommodation and selected photography benefits.

The overnight Acatenango Volcano hike is the most physically demanding part of our Guatemala adventure. It involves several hours of uphill hiking at high altitude, followed by an overnight stay in rustic mountain cabins. The reward is an extraordinary view of the neighboring Fuego Volcano. A reasonable level of fitness is recommended. If you're concerned about the hike or altitude, contact us before booking to discuss your options.
